Flow for a 35 gallon hex
Is it possible to have too much flow? I have a rio 200 and a ap950 powerheads, sometimes I feel like I should have 1 more because of the height of the tank I also have a koralia nano I could put in.

I think the answer to your question depends upon what livestock you are keeping. I have a 75 gallon aquarium with softies and a few fish with three Koralia Evolution 750s, so I am turning the water ~ 30 times + the flow from the sump.
