I have a pair of semi-Snowflake occelaris clowns, had them about 15 months and both have been doing great. Just recently, the smallest of the pair has begun to spend much more time in the upper corner of the tank. While this is his normal spot during lights out, I am finding him there more often in the daytime. A few times he has stayed in the upper corner of the tank during feedings, and I have had to chase him out to go eat. There have not been any fish added to the tank in over a year, so I don't think he is being bullied and he shows no signs of being nipped at. The clowns share a 120 with a yellow tang and a blue velvet damsel, who is well behaved.

Is this unusual? Should I be concerned?

It could be that the other clown is dominating the male and he is just staying away. Does she have an anemone or something she hosts?

I do not have anemone in the tank, both clowns sleep in the upper corner of the tank, the male has just been spending a lot more of the waking hours there. Just don't know if this behavior is normal.
