I have a little 6 gallon tank with a FNI 70W MH fixture hanging approximately 10 inches over it. Dimensions are 17"L X 10"W -ish Current bulb is the stock 20,000K.

I would like more "pop" from my corals like this.

I have a few questions.

1st, Obviously T5s are out, so I was thinking of getting this kit, (http://www.rapidled.com/servlet/the-143/06-LED-Actinic-Supplement/Detail) but I was afraid it may be too much, and, being non-dimable, might leave me unhappy. If that was the case, I could just use less LEDs, right? Is this kit even enough?

2nd, I want to mount them on the fixture like this

I've been monitoring the temp of that area and it's only warm to the touch at the most.
If need be, I have a tiny fan I can mount in the end to push a little air through.

3rd, at that height, what optics if any, would I need?

Thanks for reading and let me know what you guys think.
