Hi,

Following recomendations read on the forums, I decided to change the OTP pump for the bubble blaster HY-1000. It fits perfectly the skimmer and there's a big difference compared with the OTP power, but it overflows and is almost impossible to control. Right now the valve is completly open, it is on my sump aprox 6", I'm letting the drain open to avoid dripping on the stand but is hasn't change in various days and I'm kind of worried the pump is too much for my skimmer. I'm doing something wrong? Is there anything else that i need to do the the skimmer to work with this pump?

I have read that some people have suceed with the change, just want to know how.

The pump is not too much for that body. However the pumps performance does max out what that body can handle and a few modifications may be required to get the skimmer to work correctly. Can you raise the skimmer so it sits in 5.5" of water? Did you shorten the length of the output height?

Yes, I can move it to 5.5 and I will and No. I will try both things and let you know! Thanks for the fast response.
