Yesterday I lost a four inch crocea I had for several months. Yesterday morning it was fully open mantle extended as always and last night it was dead. No predators allowed in this tank and there are a dozen other clams there with no problems. What should i look for? I am baffeled by the speed with which this happened. Absolutely no sign of distress what-so ever.

Have you added any new clams or other livestock to the tank recently?

The tank the clams are in and the main display tank share a common water supply. I added a copperband and a kliens butterfly last week to the main display tank. Nothing to the tank the clams are in.
