The Salifert All-in-one is most likely Calcium Acetate which will provide alk and calcium like using kalk water at the same ratio the organisms use them. You may need some sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and calcium chloride (calcium part of two-part) to make adjustments if your alk or calcium level is lower than you want. After you adjust your alk and calcium you can use the All in one to maintain both levels. You may need to add a mag supplement if your salt mix is on the low side over time.

As far as the Iodine, most reef tanks normally do not need to add this. ;)

Randy provides more information of using calcium acetate in this article:

thanks for the links to the articles!

the ingredients are... calcium acetate, strontium, trace elements and aminos. also states the calcium acetate is converted to calcium bicarbonate within minutes.

i do 5g water change weekly. when i do test my levels they are within parameters. as long as i'm within parameters dosing shouldn't be necessary right?

You're welcome. ;)

Yes, as long as your levels are within the recommended parameters then it should be fine. If your demand increases, then dosing will be required.
