i am using the eln48-60d meanwell driver while hooking this up to the var speed ports. My question is if you plug the 120v outlet into the wall and set the intensity to zero what happens? Will it shut down completely? Or do i have to hook the 120v to the eb8 to shut it off. The user guide doesn't go into detail.

Yes, the LEDs on Meanwells shut off if the dim control voltage is less than about 1 volt. Therefore you can provide 120vac power to the drivers independently or through an EB8 as desired. You don't need to set the intensity to 0 in a profile - you can just set the VS port to OFF.

cool i am using up all my eb8 outlets already and didn't want to buy a new eb8. I have been reading that when you set the vs to zero and have the outlet still energized it still lights up a bit? I hope i can just use a standard outlet and run profiles through the vs ports.

They wont stay energized, they will go off at anything less than 10% (1v)

thanks thats a load off, got the kit put together today can't wait to hook it up I ordered the apex dimming cable:headwally: been reading a lot of complaints about it but if it works i will use it.

Mine stay lite up a tiny bit withen dimmed.
but i read that a 10K resistor will prevent this

if they stay lit up slightly, will it decrease they're life or burn them out? i guess they could be supplemental moonlights if it won't hurt the bulb life

I have three HLG-100H-36B drivers running 100 watt cannons and they remain very bright even with the apex set to 0%. Check the tech sheet for your ballast. The HLG-100H-36Bs only go down to 10%. I have to kill the power via the EB8.

Meanwell ELN's will go off below 1v - dimmable HLG's will not.

lights are up and they do shut down 100% when the voltage is below 25% or app. 2.5v i have it ramp down to 20% by 10pm and the lights go completely out at 9:47 works great very happy

Anyone ever used one of these attached to a Vertex LED strip? (Illumilux)

I've been told it can be done, but never found anyone who has done it and I'm a bit scared to roll the dice.

You have to have an adapter cable that as of a month ago was not yet released. Check with Jeremy at PA.

Jeremy at PA told me all I needed was to switch out the meanwell adapter.
