didnt really know where to post this cause its not a fish disease... ... so figured id get a good/decent response here

hate to make a new thread, but figure id make a new thread to get more attention, cause i know people dont like to go read an old thread sometimes..

So my Snowonyx male took a jump out of the tank **Read more here**http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2075226
And i dont know how long he was out of the water, i just know there was no water around him, and he was at the semi sticky/dry point, when i put him back in the tank.. he nosed dived to the bottom (i thought he was dead at the point) about 30 seconds later you could see him start to breath and he slowly came back to life, moving a little more over time.. This happened on the morning of 9/27.. so now a full day has gone by.. and i got 1 concern

his tail seems to be deteriorating more and more as the day goes on .. ** (( Only were the discoloration is... ))** what happens if it continues, with all the discoloration of his tail, which is most of it.. is there a point of no return?
what should i do to help him out?

In this picture you can see the discoloration part... kind of forms a triangle, that tips just a little bit past his tail.. past the black line

Being so thin, the tail probably dehydrated enough to die, and now is sloughing off.
You might want to quarantine him and try to medicate a little. Someone who knows more about medication than me needs to chime in here. (Iodine? out of my experience. Help, please.)
