I have a carbon dosed SPS dominant system with very low nutrients. will a clam be alright in there? I do a pretty heavy feeding each evening with the pumps off for an hour(Rods original, Rods Pacific plankton and oyster eggs)

flow might be an issue or light, but thats all, imo

You should be fine. I was able to keep 1" clams with a zeovit system.

Running carbon 24/7 can deplete your system of trace elements that are vital for clam survival. You may need to add supplements to counteract this. They also need a great deal of light - make sure your have the sufficient PAR for their survival. They do not like a great deal of flow - this can stress them. Low to moderate flow is preferred.
