I am thinging of getting an Apex controller for my 125 gallon tank and would like to know what modules I would need to get the controller to do what I want. I will probably add on later but this is just to get me started. As of right now I would like it to run and dim 112 LEDs(two 48 LED kits and high noon kits from ReefLEDLights), power 4 hydor korallia powerheads, turn my heater on and off based on temp reading from the probe, and monitor pH and temp. Thanks in advance!!

the full apex will do your light and an eb8 power bar will power everything. the full apex comes with an eb8 power bar and temp probe you will only need the ph probe

The Full $499 Apex comes with a standard pH probe. So he can pretty much do everything with just the full kit.

Yes!! That is great! So all I would have to do is buy the kit. Would I need to buy calibration fluid for th pH probe in addition?

Yes. Get a few packs of the 7.0 and 10.0. I would get atleast 3 each.

In my case the pH probe was not included, but the price was reduced by more than the price of a standard or lab grade probe. Even with a lab grade probe it came in at $490, so it may just be about giving people the option to have good, better, or none.

Maybe only the actual Neptune systems site sells the pH probe with the full apex? Who knows, so glad I decided to go with the apex instead of the RKE, so much cheaper because I don't need to buy all of the modules!

TB Aquatics (http://www.tbaquatics.com/neptune-systems-apex-with-free-pinpoint-ph-probe-753.html), which is a RC sponsor, has the full Apex system w/ free pH probe for $454.36 with free shipping. Also, new customers that sign up for the newsletter get a 5% off code ( TBADIFFERENCE ), which should bring it down to $431.62 shipped. HTH! I've been looking hard at it myself!

I can't afford one now, just trying to figure out which controller I will get then I will save accordingly. When your 16 and don't have a job, it isn't easy. It took me all summer to get my 125 gallon tank off of craigslist for the whole set up! So I guess by christmas I should be able to get hopefully a christmas present!

If I recall, nothing about being 16 is easy! Good luck!

Yeah, that is true. At least I don't need to buy a car on top of this hahahaha!!! My dad has about 10 sitting in our driveway, but they are all older than 2004. I think only 2 of them are newer than 2001, so I get a 1997 grand am for free! Just not the gas lol. I should be able to get a job soon, three places are hiring now so I just got to get in some applications.
