Hey guys,

Unfortunately last night I had a rock slide, one of my supporting rocks didnt have too much area touching the glass. In any case, I went to pick up some extra base rock. This one is a lot more sturdy, so Im happy about it being safe. How do you guys like the aquascape?

Does this look like a natural reef? and does this seem like it has a potential for a reef tank? I plan to get coral and hope that this would give me enough surface space, as well as different current flows and lighting.

PS. Unfortunately, the tank just finished cycling, so when everything got mixed up, I ended up losing 2 snails and 1 hermit crab. :sad1:

Looks good, I wouldn't stress it since you'll get used to the aquascape once it sits around for a bit. If it were me I'd move the rock in the front to on top of the rocks in the back, leaves some great sandbed space which looks great and lets you add more things, but again that's just me and everyone has their own opinions of what looks good in their tank :)

i think it looks great. Wish my tank was just a lil wider so i could be a bit more creative with my rock. I personally like the rock on the sand. Helps the scape look more 3 dimensional. also more surface area for placing corals.

As others have said though, its all about personal preference. if you love it, never change it :)

Looks pretty good. I've been looking at my tank debating how I can arrange it to look different already and its only been up 2 days ha ha

I think it looks great. What kind of corals do you plan on getting?

When that's covered in coral it will look a lot more like a reef. And it will. Having open places for flowthrough is good.

The reason I left one rock in the front is for a colony of zoa's that I dont want taking over the rest of the reef

I did that too a few times when I was setting it up

Honestly, I dont know yet, because I didnt finalize the livestock list. So far I know I want a mini colony of zoas on the front rock, an anemone with a clown fish, a hammer or torch coral, a yellow tube coral and a clam and feather duster... those I want for sure, the others Im not sure yet.

Thanks, that was the point of the tunnels/bridges
