changing a single pane of glass requires taking apart the entire tank, cleaning every last bit of silicone off of every piece of glass, and rebuilding it. It is usually not worth the effort when one pane is broken. I cant imagine doing it just to fix some scratches. did you know most scratches can be buffed out of glass? Just search for "glass scratch removal"

I would try to polish out the scratches,I priced a piece of glass for my 125 that was scrathed really bad and the cost of the glass was almost as much as a new tank. Unless you have a connection to get it cheap it's probably not going to be worth the time and money. Of course this is just my 2 cents.

I have replaced the front glass on a 125 gallon. When I finished it I said NEVER again. It's just too much trouble in my book.
