Who has experience with the yellow pyramid butterfly (Hemitaurichthys polylepis)? Do they really leave coral alone? I would absolutely love one of these!! anything to watch out for disease-wise?

They obviously should be quarantined. Coral safe in my experience.

I have lots of softies and LPS.
Funnily enough its one kenya tree that my pyramid picks on.
Great fish colouration really stands out in a tank, eats well, minds its own business

My yellow pyramid doesn't pick on any corals (I have mainly softies, LPS, and a few SPS). They're planktivores (feed off the water column) and are considered a "reef-safe" butterfly, along with the zoster butterfly.

very cool! thanks guys! I am considering getting one, but we'll see. I'd rather order from a LFS than liveaquaria to get rid of shipping charges and let it sit in their tanks for a week to see if there are any diseases. of course I would quarantine myself as well.
