That's pretty cool there, nice work, can't wait to see pics with the tank in place!

Beautiful job, Are the sides 3/4 plywood. I'm just thinking how it's tied together. Concerned with lateral movement.

Very cool design.

Yes the sides are 3/4 plywood, one side comes off for access. You think I need more lateral stiffing?

Looks great Riblet. I love the inlaid stone on the stand, I should buy you a case of beers to help me make one.

Nice top design. I like over building myself and think you do need more lateral stiffing.

I was thinking about some cross beams.

If you have enough fasteners in the 3/4 ply there will be no lateral movement with that stand. Just by the looks of it its overbuilt as is. The way some people build these stands you would think they are suppose to hold a semi up! Yes water is heavy but come on:)

3/4 ply is plenty to tie it together, could not tell from pic
If any of the panels are permanent you can use construction
Adhesive along with screws
If not, you can bolt panels to vertical supports

I like the little bit of counter space around the tank. Been thinking about making stand with a bar like setup with some stools.
