kinda hard to see in the pic, but where he used to have a nice big belly (right behind his gills) he seems to be all "skin n bones" now... is this normal? should i try to catch him and put him in my sump so he has more algae to eat?

Try feeding some nori sheets....if you have a mag clip you can move it close to the blenny.

Mine is a pig and eats everything I feed my tank with (frozen, flake, nori, cyclopeeze)

I had one for a year until he jumped. I used to feed him the Hikari Algae Wafers for freshwater fish. He was fat and happy.

Take a small piece of Nori and rubberband it to a small rock and he will go crazy.

Ok ill give it a shot. I never thought I would have the issue of NOT enough algae...

I had one starve to death. Some of them just won't eat no matter what you give him. I tried nori red green and brown sheets. I tried live gracillaria and all the different algaes at my lfs and nothing.

My Starry Blenny loves algae wafers. Something else to try out.

Mine wouldn't eat the sheets either, surprisingly he attacked the algae wafers.

I switched to Formula 2 flakes, they come in the green container, and contain more algae. My clowns love it, and the blenny would wolf it down.

I've found it works best to tie them to a rock, since they don't always go for it hanging.

You could also try growing algae yourself. A container filled with tank water set somewhere that gets direct sunlight. Make sure there are plenty of nutrients (feed the container). Unfortunately it is may not be a quick enough solution if the blenny is starving.

Personally I found the best way to get my Lawnmower Blenny to open his mind to other food-types was to introduce him to a Starry Blenny. The Starry was less picky, and the Lawnmower Blenny would get upset when he saw it eating, so he'd eat too. But that is a tricky stocking to work out and may not work in all tanks.
