What is this terrible disease? I am sure my yellow coris wrasse has it as he has gotten pencil thin and now just today he refuses (or can't eat). He is my QT. What should I do? I do not want him to suffer but I'm not sure I have the guts to "cull" him. Is this wasting disease? None of my other fish are suffering but if it is internal parasites where could they have come from and why just one fish? I have added nothing to my tank in over 4 months and that fish was QT'd for weeks.

Thanks for any information.

It usually is internal parasites/worms that cause fish to get really thin and "waste away". Your best course of action is to use a medication called PraziPro (see link below). It is reef safe, expect for tube worms/feather dusters.

Btw, you have to QT for 9 weeks to be 100% sure your fish is healthy and disease free.

Thanks, I'll see who carries it locally.

Most LFS should have it. If not Drs. Foster and Smith has it.
