Help.....

Woke up to find my green cap looking like this. The spot has spread to the left of the center. I gently squeezed the baseter over it and the tissue just blew off.

It's hard to see in the photo but it looks like RTN in a bad spot. If it's spreading quickly you need to get it cut out ASAP. If it's not spreading quickly wait it out a bit and see what happens. Try not to blow too much of the dead tissue into your tank. GL.

Thanks....that spot appeared in about 5 hrs. Ill give it a dip and see. Ive had it for over a year and it was just a small frag when i got it.

Sometimes it's better to just leave it alone and let it recover. Dipping can cause added stress unless it's RTN then you want to frag it.

Im leaning towards rtn because it happened in a matter of hours and seems to be spreading. The tissue is just turning greyish black and coming off.
