what are the easiest acropora corals to keep? I have kept mostly lps corals and am starting to like more and more sps corals. mainly acropora

Green slimer is the easiest in my experience. Ours has grown from a 3" frag to the colony on the right in about 18 months.

i really like the thick acropora that grow in tight clusters and the ones that are blue. which of those are hardier? also how do u tell the difference? i feel like there are so many different kinds that look so similar esp. when they're small frags!

are montipora hardier than acropora?

Agree. That is an orange montipora digitata to the left of the green slimer in my pic above. One of my favorites. Love the gnarly growth!
