Unfortunately I have a Corris Wrasse that is sick and is just about done.
I want to get him out now while I have the opportunity and before he disappears into the rockwork. So with that said' what's a humane way to put it down?
Flush it?
I read somewhere to freeze it.

In the freezer in a bag with some water is the "humane way"

I've always put my fish in a bag then in the freezer to euthanize them. The fish that were larger 18"+ I used to put them in a bag then wrapped in a towel and used blunt force to the head. Always worked. Maybe not the most humane but instant death for sure.

How the fish handled after frozen? food for fish or defrosted and trashed?
I usually just flush after it has passed.

I've read that freezing is actaully very in-humane. I'll look through my literature to find the recommended methods. Off the top of my head, clove oil.

Tricaine. AKA MS-222. Freezing isn't very nice.

MS-222 is the top choice, followed by clove oil and bubbling CO2 into their water.
