Well after a few months I got pictures of my first saltwater tank for you guys to check out.
Just got my first fish a firefish and a coral banded shrimp. Got a small piece of Xenia. Two mushrooms. A small piece of this glowing green grass coral (I don't know what it's called) the guy from the store gave it to me.

Nice start. I have to say that those corals (Xenia, shroom, GSP) are invasive over time.

You might want to put the GSP and Xenia on there own little island. Tend to take a tank over! I love them still after years of having a tank but would not keep the GSP in my DT:)

Yes i can tell you right now my mushies just keep growing, even after you cut them from the rock lol they just come right back and sprouting more heads. I started with 4 heads and now I have 8 lol in only 2 months.

I love gsp and xenia but I didn't put it in my tank for fear of spreading.

This is the truth! Pulsating Xenia was a favorite of mine until I put it in my 210g and it spread like wildfire! I thought the tank was big enough to add the Xenia but boy did it spread. Be careful with it.

Your tank looks great. Congrats and welcome to the club.

Thanks guys. Good to know about the spreading, for now I love the idea of spreading. I'm sure I can trade it off or sell it off or give it away when I need too. For being my first tank I think the GSP is the coolest thing ever. I can't wait to get more stuff in due time like zoa's or something.

I love GSP. In a new tank, it's encouraging to see the growth. Plus, they look cool. It's a great filler while the other corals grow out. Mine has it's own island and I'm almost ready for pruning after 3 short months ;)
