I always pair my clowns with a natural host so either a Heteractis magnifica or a Stichodactyla gigantea. Having said that a healthy one of either is hard to come by, particularly the gigantea. A BTA isn't a natural host so it will be very much hit and miss that your clowns will recognise it. You may get lucky, or as lots of other people have found, you may not......

I would go with the green bubbletip for the contrast in color and ease of husbandry!

What size tank?
What lights?
What do you have for flow?
Do you have a sandbed? If so, how deep?

If you go with a sandbed dwelling anemone will need to increase the sandbed depth -- though it only needs to be deeper locally.

If you don't want to change anything... I would suggest going with a rock dwelling anemone. 3, somewhat common ones come to mind, Gig, Mag and E. quadricolor. The first 2 are pretty difficult to keep and finding a healthy one will be a big challenge. So, that would leave an E. quadricolor.

If I did just increase my sandbed to the spot where I put the nem in my tank (been thinking about it because I plan to add a few wrasses as well), what would you suggest? I want something that is likely going to live and being that this is my first anemone, I'd like something that is't on the more difficult side to care for.
