My 6 bulb powermodule is 10.5 inches from the water but I feel it still burns some of my corals. How high do you guys have it above your tank? I think I need a par meter.
Also please list how many bulbs you have. Thanks in advance

Btw my tank is 16" deep so I'm thinking I can raise it up some more. Some orange ricordia on the bottom is already splitting after 10 days in the tank

Sam
I think it depend on how tall or shallow your tank is
The best way to determine the right height is with the par meter.
I have my LEDs 6" above the water since I have a tall tank and my acropora coral are in the middle.

What's your photoperiod?

My photoperiod is 2 hrs all 6 bulbs, 2 hrs before and after with 2 bulbs. I also have a ecoxotic led supplement and another blue led tube, those are on for around 12 hours. I'm slowly increasing the photoperiod since I noticed some bleaching and stn of some of my corals. Photoperiod was the same except daylight bulbs were on for 6 hours. So I decreased it down to 2 and working it back up. Just wanted to make sure the height of my fixture was ok. I think I might have too much par
