I am building a large frag setup in my garage. I built a stand for a large refugium(150g) and the stand and/or the floor is about 1/4" unlevel. Here is a picture of a shim I have on one side to level the stand and tank:

My question is, is it ok to shim one point on the stand such as this or do I need to have the entire stand making contact with the floor to evenly distribute the weight. BTW, the tank is all acrylic which may be a bit more forgiving.
Here is a broader shot of the tank/stand:

Thanks!

I would try to shim it throughout the side so that you aren't just shimming one side the whole 1/4 " in 1 spot.

As over built that stand is you could park your car on it and it wouldn't move :)

Although I agree with the above, you should still use as many shims as you can to help distribute the weight.

Ok. I will shim the mess out of it and make sure I have as much contact as possible. As far as being overbuilt...better safe than sorry! haha, although now that I think about it 2x6's are a bit overkill! Thanks for the input guys.
