View Full Version : Do DIVERS DEN fish need to be QT'd?

It says the fish go through an exstensive quarintine before they are put up for sale. I know they can be stressed from shipping. Just looking for some opinions.

I qt before anything goes in my tank but I'm paranoid.

Absolutely. Shipping to get to your house is stressful and they are not guaranteed to have no sicknesses despite the great water quality and over UV sterilization they do at DD. Not worth the risk IMO to not QT anything. Setup a small QT tank and put the fish in there for a while to monitor it and get it feeding on your foods.

Okay thanks for the info.
How much would you estimate an adequate qt setup costs? All you need is a tank, a hob filter, and stuff to possibly medicate right?
