Hey gang. I've had, mmm, lets see, a lot of pipefish in the last 3 years. And I've had mixed success to put it mildly. I've lost pipes to bacterial infections, starvation and I believe age. I've had approximately 3 dragon face, 3 yellow multibands, 2 bandeds, 2 bluestripes. The banded I have currently is the first pipe of all those to ever eat anything other than frozen roe, copepods, mysis and brine. It just ate 4 separate Sustainable Aquatics pellets. They're these little tiny orange things. All my fish eat them. My OSFF get little orange lips from them. And they're also the first pellet that I've ever had a scooter dragonet eat in 3 years. All 3 of my scooters eat them. And of course everyone else. Everyone should try these.

P.S. My clowns seem extra bright orange since I started adding them to the mix.

I get them in Renton, WA but that's a bit of a drive from you. I'm not sure. You could try reaching out to SA.

Now if only I could get my LFS to stock Roggers. I'm still waiting to try that.

Is this the product you are talking about: SA Dry Hatchery Diet

This seems like an unlikely choice for a pipefish but I'll gladly give it a try. My Dragon Faced PF has never eaten anything other than the pods it hunts all day long. I often worry it will someday deplete the population. I have had him over a year now. He looks healthy but, I still worry.
