I decided to make this thread because I have noticed a few of these fish popping up here and there and with limited info on them I thought it was a good idea to compile it in one place. Run down a few things:Pics, Size, sex, temperament, food choices and any other misc. info you'd like to share. Ill start

I have a trio of cirrhilabrus johnsoni and the male is 2 1/2 inches and the females are 1 inch each.

They seem very shy. When first acquired they would only hang around the bottom of the QT tank, NEVER swimming in the open water. I only did 1 treatment of prizipro after 2 weeks of watching them with no symptoms arising of any disease. Although I did lose a cirrhilabrus laboutei from the same QT. When introduced to the DT they were the 1st cirrhilabrus species introduced into the 200 gallon DT. They were in there for about 4 days alone and would seldom come toward the front of the display. After introducing my other cirrhilabrus species 1 by 1 they started to mingle with the crowd and were swimming in open water in no time.

In QT they were picky eaters, when adding food they would raviously attack but become uninterested very quick. They at times seem to go on food strike, which is weird for cirrhilabrus species in my experience. After moving to the DT they seemed more interested in food( I feed PE mysis, cyclopleeze , nutramar ova, NLS flakes and pellets, selcon enriched) They now are eating with the rest of the cirrhilabrus and are not getting picked on by anyone that I have seen. Only my red tail flasher is showing off for the girls but that is to be expected, and frankly great to watch. I hope everyone found this informative and will share their experience with these fish for the RC community to learn from!

pics of my male, he's a stud! His head looks like lightening .

They are small. My female was really small when I got it from Brian Greene a few years back. Ate everything and very active.

Very nice! Great fish. I have been getting the bug to get a pair and your pics are making it worse.

Hearing how they handled quarantine and introduction to your DT will be very helpful if I give in to the temptation (just a matter of time).

They are so small, I am glad to hear they are holding their own. That PIA trio is nice, bit would prefer just a pair and save a little money for something else too. Great thread.

Thanks! today I noticed my male had a abrasion on his head, and I saw him and my red tail flasher fighting. However I think they worked it out for the most part. Im hoping for the best, they are some awesome fish.
