Just getting started???

I am looking at getting a Biocube 29 going soon. I have not done a saltwater aquarium before but have had 5500g fish pond for about 10 years. Can i use some of my filter media from the pond to seed the filter in the 29g??? The media is k1. Thanks for any info i am sure i will have more questions as i begin this build/

The bacteria for salt tanks is different so it won't do you any good. If someone else near you has a well established tank they can give you a cup of sand to seed yours that way.
