Polypropylene Felt Filter Bags

I am no sure if this is the right forum, but it has to do with the chemistry of the filter bags. I am in the water treatment business and I have a source that sells 4" filter bags. They are made out of Polypropylene Felt. I understand what applications this can be use when it comes to standard water treatment, but I am wondering if this sock would be good to put in my DT for filtration. Does/will the Polypropylene Felt react with the salt water to produce any adverse reactions to the inhabitants of my DT. Has anybody had any experience in this area with Polypropylene Felt Filter Bags. I have included the link so you can read up on the bags in question. They are the BP series.
