I was digging in the sand moving stuff around and found this pink worm about 1.5 inches long and very thick, much thicker than a bristleworm and it was smooth. It obviously likes to be under the sand and shortly after this video finished it was burrowed under the sand. It moves pretty slow, much slower than a bristleworm. The video doesn't show the color well, but it was close to the color of pink coraline algae.

Possibly a sea cucumber? Some are pretty toxic.

hmm it's hard to tell. It could be a sea cucumber or it could be a peanut worm. The peanut worms usually have a weird bristle mouth that comes out to eat stuff in the sand. they are usually brown or black in color though so it could very well be a cucumber.

I can't find exactly what I have. I'm hoping its a non toxic sand cleaner, either a peanut worm or small sea cucumber. There are so many kinds of worms its hard to know for sure but usually the hitchhiker varieties are pretty well known.

Thanks
