Any idea what this is? I searched around but couldn't find an answer. It is isolated to one frag and I'd prefer not to loose it. Any idea what it is and what can be done about it?

Can you get a better picture? A nudibranch came to mind first but it's kind of hard to tell. If it is indeed a nudibranch, you might want to remove it just to be safe. A large majority of them don't play nice with some of the corals we keep.

I think it might just be a sponge of some sort. Calcareous perhaps. Try using your fingers and see how easy it is to remove.

thanks, i might try tweezers and see how that works as well.

def looks like a sponge. you can pick it off i would think fairly easy.
