Hey whats up I decided to take the leap and get myself a bigger tank. I lucked out and scored an old set up from my neibor who had not used it for about a year. The tank is in good shape, the stand had quite a few ... lest just say flaws lol. The floor was watter damaged and the doors were very scratched and dented.

The filter system is a wet dry system and it is pretty gross lol he never cleaned it out when he took the system down. So when I took all the media out it was poo covered and really gross.

I do not plan on using the bio media in the sump. I am going to take the ball things out and use that chamber as my skimmer chamber. I took the stand all apart and sanded it all smooth. I then redid the stain to somewhat match the dark stain that is on all the furniture in the room that i am putting the tank in. I also decided to paint the back of the tank black. it really turned out better then I thought.

Plans as of right now is to of course clean up the rest of the filter system. I am going to clean alll of the hoses, overflow, and sump, I am also going to try to incorporate a 10G funge that I have sitting around. I am placing an order for LS and LR from BRS, I am also going to order a GFO and Carbon Reactor. Also saving up the money for a much better lighting system.
