Can i keep a shrimp-goby pair in a 5.5 gallon?

If not, whats an interesting fish that could live in the 5.5 tank?

Do you mean a pistol shrimp/watchman type goby pair? Then I would say no.

IF you mean a small shrimp and a very small 1" max size goby then I would say yes. I would do a peppermint shrimp as a cleaner would probably drive the goby crazy.

what do you mean by "go crazy?"

are the only fish that can be in 5.5's gobies?

Cleaner shrimp like to clean. Being such a small tank they would keep trying to pick on the fish and could stress it out to much. You mentioned the goby but it is about the ideal section of fish as there are several types of gobbies that get to around 1" in size.
