Hyposalinity question?

Ive got a powder brown tang who has a little case of ICH. He still eats ALOT of green marine algae with garlic extract. Anyway if i were to use the hypo method on my DT how long should i take to adjust the salinity to the proper levels? And how will the corals and fish react to this?

At the therapeutic level of 1.009, other than the fish and the beneficial bacteria, everything - the coral, the snails, the crabs, the worms, the shrimps - and, of course, the Ich - everything else will die.

Hmmmmm.. Maybe ill just keep feeding and hopefully he'll build up a resistence. Its not a bad case at the moment. Maybe try to catch him but if i cant that might stress him out more.
