I went out and bought a RBTA. I did the acclim thing and its been in the tank for a few days. When i released it, it attached to a rock in the back of my rockwork (ofcourse not the best place, but i couldnt move it).
It moved a bit and is now basically under a big rock and is getting next to no light. It is getting some water movement. Should i worry about it sitting in "darkness"?

thanks

I wouldn't worry immediately - more info would be good though in determining why he's doing that and what he's probably going to do. How big is the tank, how long has it been running. What else is in the tank. Parameters. Especially, what lights do you have? RBTAs like coral sometimes need to go through light acclimation - especially if he comes from a LFS that was just running actinics (sometimes they do this to make their corals pop and easier to sell). If you're lights are bright he might just be shying away for now.

Had the same promblem twice. One died about a month later and my other came out and later split. Hope you all the luck.

If you can see it in it's current location, then I'd just watch it. They can deal with not being in the light for several weeks, especially if they can catch some food. I had 2 small ones and a very big tomato clown that wanted to use them as a place to live. One ducked under some rock where I could see it and the other one moved so far under rock I couldn't find it. I pulled the clown and the 1 annemone I could see came out of hiding. I never saw the 2nd one... until I was sucking up the debris in the bottow of my sump when doing a water change. I was using a clear hose and saw something big go thru to the 5g bucket. I pulled it out and it was about the size of a pencil eraser and proved to be the missing RBTA. It had been MIA for close to 3 months!
