Just wondering if anyone knows of a web site where i can go to see pics of various mantis so that I can identify mine. It seems like it would be pretty helpful to lots of people since many of us keep mantis that were caught in our tanks.

Aside from the Lurker's Guide and a few of my pages, there isn't too much out there. A group of biologists who study stomatopods (there are about 50 of us world wide) are currently in the planing stages of producing a data base that would link information on all known species (including fossils), their ranges and habitats, genetic, behavioral and physiological data, etc - including photographs. I suspect this will take a year or two for this to come about, but we are working on it.

jedimpt,

The post I stickied at the beginning of this forum has a link to the Lurkers Guide to Stomotopods.
