I have an 8' 240. We moved it with 4 people pretty easily. We borrowed glass moving suction cups from a glass company.

Go to HD or Lowes and get a pair of 'appliance moving straps'. You can slide one under each end and then slide two 8' to 12' long 2" x 4" thru the loops on either side. Now 6 or 8 people can lift on the 2x4 and nobody has to get fingers under the tank. It makes it really easy to carry. I hate to say this, but it's almost like moving a coffin. I bought a pair of these and have used them several times to move 180g to 300g tanks. They are cheap and well worth it.

I helped my friend move in his 300dd, we had 4 guys and almost didn't get it through the door. Its going to depend on how thick the glass is and how wide the tank is but no less than 4, more is always
better.

i would think 6 or more would be best...i would imagine the tank will be about a 1000 pounds empty depending on the glass thickness

I second the moving straps. I bought 2 pair at Tractor Supply and had 5 other guys help me move an acrylic 360. Made it much easier to lift. You'll probably use them again, or at least lone them out :-)

RobE brings up a good point.....check all of your doorways and tight corners of your house prior to to the move to ensure that the tank will actually clear the spaces. It would be bad to have all of your help there and no way to get it into the house!

getting it in the house is no problem, have plenty of room for that, just didnt know if 4 people would be able to move it, the guy said the tank weighs around 5-600 pounds empty

Moved a 330 72x30x36 used 8 people, 3 on each long side and one on each end. Rented 16 glass suctioncups so each person had two. Try to have one person pick up no more than 200lb ea. it was a custom tank. Me and one friend moved a 220 All Glass last week. All depends on how much the tank weighs.

Gee, I wish I could get 4-6 of my friends to help me with anything. I luckily only needed 1 other person to help carry my 93 from the garage. It only took 2 of us to carry a 6' 180 acrylic but those are light.

I had 8 help me,because we had to go through a window, that was about head high.Normally 6 would be ideal to move your 300.

On my 330 I hired two men and a truck.
