Coral Plugs

Getting some coral going in my tank and just pick up my first zoa frag of some eagle eye, quick question. Am I supposed to leave it attached to the plug or remove it from the plug?

That's up to you. Some people keep it others take it off and some leave it on until the coral is acclimated and then remove the plug. I take mine off, slide a pocket knife under the edge and twist a little.

Decided to leave it on found a nice spot it blends in pretty well with, but great to know for the future thanks!

I usually leave zoanthids attached as well. After the colony has spread to the surrounding rock, you can use an exacto to cut around the plug... Then you'll have zoanthids on the rock (which will fill in the now empty spot) plus a nice frag you can place elsewhere or trade.
