Help me decide!!!!

Hello guys im thinking about what I should get my tank for Christmas :spin1: ...

I run kalk in my tank now buy mixing it in my ATO but im wondering if I get a calcium reactor if it will keep my Ca and KH more stable. Is kalk just as good as a reactor or would a reactor be well worth the investment???? Help me out :thumbsup:

How big is your tank, and how are the alk/ca levels so far with a kalk reactor? I've never run a kalk reactor before, but am happy with my calcium reactor (GEO 618 for a 180 mixed reef). Prior to the calcium reactor I was 2-part dosing.

I have a 150 all sps Ca is 400 which is not to bad but im haveing alot of trouble with the KH swinging up and down. I was thinking that a calcium reactor would keep bolth pretty stable? But i wanna know forsur befor i spend the $

Ah, I think a calcium reactor would a good idea to keep things more stable. Lots of folks run both a CR and Kalk, especially for an SPS-dominant tank. I only have zoas/softies, LPS, and a few SPS in my 180.
