20 long reef running macro filtration with reactor filled with rowaphos and carbon. Doing weekly water changes and ro water to ATO. My LFS regularly checks my params and says they are perfectly normal as does 2 other shops. Been manually sucking out BA for months now being careful not to burst them and spread spores. The BA just keeps coming back and spreading and getting bigger. Someone give me some advice.

Get some test kits and post the results here, LFS is a 4 letter word round here.

Phos will test as 0, Ill tell you that now, reason being is the algae is taking it all in.
Sand bed? Phos readings from the RO water before you add it to the tank? How much LR? What are the tank inhabitants? Lights? Age? Feeding habits?

There are alot of causes for algae blooms/outbreaks and the solutions are almost as varied. By giving us as much info as you can we can better help you.

I'll get the test kits as soon as I can. As far as everything else:

15lbs live rock
sand bed in display and fuge
1 clown
1 purple firefish
1 bicolor dottyback
clean up crew
and assorted corals

tank has been running for about 2 years

I know it's time for new bulbs

feeding dry pellets and flakes daily and twice a week substitute mysis or squid

You mentioned using RO water. Did you mean RO/DI? Do you know what the TDS of your FW source is?

How is the flow in the tank? Feeding schedule/amount?

Edit: Sorry didn't see the previous post on feeding.

While I'm at it are you running a skimmer? And how often are you changing out the Rowa?

yes ro/di. don't know I buy water... have not invested in my own unit. flow is about 600gph. small pinches of food stated above.
