I think i want to go with a skimmer now. Let me know what you guys are using on your bio-cubes and what you like/dislike about them.
TIA

Quick search and you will get TONS of info on this. Look into an AquaMaxx HOB-1, it's a great skimmer and recently dropped in price.

I just got a biocube 29 and ill either be getting the Tunze 9002 or the aquaticlife 115. I hear tunze is better but the price tag reflects that

I just ordered the Tunze which fits in the 2nd Chamber with a media basket if you wan to go that route. I dont know if the others fit in there with the basket also or not. I have heard great things about the Tunze and the others but I know it fits with the media basket.

I do not have a Biocube but I do have a 29G AGA display that is drilled with a sump underneath and the Tunze 9002 kicks *** on this tank man. I paid $270 for a Deltec MCE300 (HOB skimmer) years ago before I had a sump and it did not pull out skimmate the way this little Tunze does (and the Tunze was $120 cheaper). I would recommend this skimmer all day to anyone who had a tank 50G or smaller. It was very easy to setup right out of the box and does not take too much tinkering before you have it dialed in. I don't think a $150 is a lot of money for a good skimmer but if you do, go ahead and spend it you will not be disappointed.

Thanks everyone. I'll look into the tune. I have a media basket so it's good to know they'll both fit

Do you have to buy a new collection cup for the tunze to fit in the 2nd chamber?

I do not have the skimmer yet so I can't answer for sure. I purchased the new cup because I was already buying the media anyway. Others may be able to answer for sure.

If your using the stock hood you will, running without a hood no.I do not have one but from my understanding on InTank's site the small collection cup is for those wanting to use their stock hood.

Cool. Thanks. Someone in my local forum just put a 9002 for sale for $70. I think I'll grab it
