Hello everyone,
If I wanted to swap my current rock for dry rock, how would if effect my tank, would it make everything spike?
Thanks,

I took dry rock and it caused high ammonia and nitrite. Than I added live rock later, and it's not cycling correctly :( Don't do it.... Or if you do put it in a bucket with heater and powerhead for a few days than test the water.

I like the Bucket and powerhead idea... I am starting to get some pests and I am not so fond of my Rock...

You will need to cure it before placing it in your tank or make the swap slowly (one piece at a time). If you remove all your rock and replace it with dry rock all at once, you will have effectively removed your biological filter and your tank will go through a new cycle, most likely killing all your livestock. Cure the new dry rock in a large trash can, keep the water heated and circulating. Promote the cycle with either a dead raw shrimp of "ghost feed" the tank until it cycles.
