What are some good reads to start with?

I am new to reef keeping.

I was wondering what some good books and publications are to read, before I even start a tank. I have heard The Reef Aquarium Vol I and II are a must read. Other than that I am not sure of any titles with good reliable information. I appreciate any help I can get on this search for information.

+1 to stickies, you get multiple peoples opinion and experience rather than most likely just the person who wrote the book

From that list, The Conscientious Marine Aquarist is my favorite. I have both editions. One that I bought when it first came out probably 10+ years ago, and the latest that I just recently bought when I re-entered the hobby.

While it might not be all the information you will ever need, you will be far more educated when you are done with it.
