View Full Version : I'm about to break one of my own rules!

I'm thinking of breaking down a 90 that I have and moving it's inhabitants (1 Sailfin Tang and 6 PJs) into my big tank.

My trepidation comes from breaking a rule which has always stood me in good stead over the years:
Never put a larger (3"+) Tang into a tank which already has established Tangs with a similar body shape.

I'm not too concerned with the 12" Mata or the 3 Blue Hippos but the tank already contains 3 Zebrasomas, (a Yellow, a Purple and a Scopas). The Sailfin would make #4.

I know that rearranging the rockwork would help but in my tank that's a major pain.

Any other suggestions?

Get egg crate and put it the tang in a section where no fish can get to it, let them get accustom to each other for a few days and then remove it from there and see how the tangs react.
