clams and calcium requirements

For those of you that keep multiple clams in your tanks what have you found the calcium requirements to be. Presently keeping mostly LPS and some softies. Was wondering how sigificantly the calcium/alkalinity demands would change. Are calcium reactors needed ?

i use a geo ca reactor. never had ca below 400, but i don't know what it'd be w/out the geo.
