Tank: RED SEAMAX 250 (66g)

Hello everyone, It seems as though I made a mistake blind supplementing iodine.(i know I shouldnt have done it but did not have a test kit at the time just went by the bottle) It appears my levels are at .09 which is obviously high.

All my corals /birdsnest/green monti 2 types of purple rics/frogspawn are doing great with good pol extention.

I was wondering first how to get this iodine level down( will it make a difference with water changes using red sea coral pro) I know it contains iodine so I just dont want to have to add more.

***I have been watching my rainbow monti and the purple with orange polyp monti. ( both obviously had color, and have been faded for quite sometime)***

So all other corals are doing great with full bright color/ ran all tests and parameters are at par. I really have a feeling its the iodine.

Pars: Salinity 1.25-6
ALK :9.0
cal: 430-40
PH 8.0-8.2
PHOSPHATE:0
I supplement with amino.

I am looking forward to your advice and thank you all in advance.

0.09 ppm iodine is not a concern and it will come down on its own. :)

In general, I do not cnsider iodine dosing worthwhile unless you keep certain gorgonia tha tmay need it. Many of us dosed it for years and then saw no difference in the tank when we stopped.

Ok great, I wasn't freakin out because everything else is going well. But attached is a rainbow monti and by all means it doesnt look like it did when I got it. Its been driving me nuts because I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
