Hi,

I have a strange problem i just tried to manual off my Tunzes from my computer.

It shut off 3, but the 4th remained on Auto.

I was able to shut it off on the display module, and that registered on the computer display.

Then, when I went to return them to auto, same thing. #1-3 responded to the command via computer network, #4 did not.

Any clues?

Thanks.

What firmware version? We've seen a couple of similar reports like yours here lately.

Now when I go to turn off 4 it turns off 3.

Trying to remember how to determine firmware....

First, make sure that all outlets have a unique name.

Firmware version can be found in the bottom section of the Net setup web page.

Do you have VS4 named uniquely?

4.04 firmware is pretty old. Probably not a bad idea to update.

Ostrow, reboot the Apex if you have not done so already. Otherwise, contact Neptune support.

I updated to this firmware in May! Can't be that old, it was the latest one then.

Russ, you are genius. I went back in to check something. They USED to have distinct names; somehow 3 got renamed to be the same as 4. NO idea how. I haven't been in that setup window since getting the Apex in May.

Thanks! All's well.

Current release firmware is 4.11. Curt has been busy! Many many changes and improvements have been made since 4.04. But if you don't have problems or need the new features, you can just follow the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy and stay on 4.04.

I'm just worried I'll lose my settings. I haven't looked into backing up (stupid). Prob need to do that.

You won't lose settings unless Jupiter is aligned with Venus on the third Sunday of the month in which you do the upgrade *and* the Chargers are actually winning a game that day. Or unless something goes drastically wrong. But you should always have a backup just in case.
