I have a friend that's about to cut his toadstool and give me the cut piece. If he basically gives me a leaf, if you will...how do I get it to attach, form a base. Here's the specimen...left side.

Just use an elastic and wrap it around a piece of rubble. Worked for me in the past, it doesn't take long to attach. You can then mount it where ever you want.

You should probably post this question in the soft coral forum to see if there's a good way to do this. My guess is that the outcome will not be happy, but maybe your friend knows what he is doing. Fiji leathers are sensitive and do not take kindly to being handled, let alone fragged.

He has cut it before. Thing grows fast in his tank.
