Stomatoporn !!!

G'day again all =) lol...

I managed to get something else on cam that stunned me considering I haven't owned this pair of stomatopod for 24hours yet (have now)...they mated RITE in front of me so I got to see how it all went down, unfortunately in my fluster of excitement I couldn't keep my camera as focused as I would of liked to, so I broke the video I made of it all down into 3 parts.

First off you get to see a short clip of how Minnie (being quite small) can easily go through the egg crate barrier and into Maximus's enclosure, then rite into his den without a care in the world for his privacy or her safety! I think she was nervous cause of the camera and myself trying to get a sneek peek on the naughty stuff happening ;)

Next up you the pair start to emerge from Maximus's Den together, perhaps it was getting to tight of a fit in there for some of the kinky acts that they were trying to perform ;) towards the end of this short clip you can easily see how Maximus is Holding / Hugging her and the complete size difference between them, even though she dominates him.

Finally they get fed up and roll out of the hole and start to "bang" away at each other its rather interesting to watch to say the least ;) yet again you can see the massive size difference along with how she pulls away first to signify that SHE is done.

Hope you like the videos I wish I could of kept it all as one, but there was a lot of zooming in and out where the camera was really bad focus...so I thought this was best!

Wow, you had mentioned the size difference between the two, but it was never apparent until this video! He's a whopper! No wonder his name is Maximus.

Do you worry for her safety since she can enter Maximus's side of the tank or is she quick enough to exit if things get out of hand?

You know even though Maximus is the significantly larger of the 2....he is the more docile.

SHE dictates courtship, when it begins how long it lasts and when it ends if ANYTHING she is more likely to attack him while she is in parental mode with her eggs.

I don't have high hopes for the eggs...

The thing is though, Maximus is basically as big as he will get and death may be knocking on his door... (old age) I also believ him to exceed the 90mm size on Dr. Roy's List for this species he is a MUTANT!

However

There is still Rocky the other G.graphurus although Maximus dwarfs Rocky and Minnie is def larger then Rocky

At least someone's gettin laid around here....nice catch and thanks for sharing. There def is a huge size difference. Do they compete for food or does one always get first dibs?

They do not need to compete for food, because there both separated via an egg crate wall, she can swim in and out freely because of her size but he can only stick his eyes through, thats quite funny cause he tries to get into her side and as I said can only get his eyes through the cubes =) looks goofy.
