In a 21" deep tank can the ATI Powermodule be hung 6" above the water or will everything bleach out?

Also, what are your thoughts on going with the 8x54w Dimmable Sunpower over the 8x54w Powermodule?

I would get the sunpower. From what I have seen the powermodule is not worth the extra cash and it hardly makes a difference in par. I might buy that same fixture not sure on what bulb combo but looks like the best colors are with the ati fixture.

My tank is 24" deep and my 6x25w sunpower bleached everything when it was only 6" above the water.

As far as dimmable, I hear they reduce the life on the bulbs.

You definitely need to hang it higher or you will bleach. The dimable sunpower would be a better option imo.

I have a 75 which I think is 21", My 4X54 PM is 4" above the tank, but it only has 4 bulbs. Only had 1 Acan bleach, put it in shade and slowly moved it out, now OK.

depends on how many bulbs vs width of the tank and also what bulb combo...
everything is possible !

I have a 10 bulb power module that is 2 inches off the water on a 20 inch deep tank. Most corals are 6 inches under water. I have great growth and only have moved a couple coral lower for better color. I haven't killed anything and have at least 30 different sps.

I also thing it depends on what bulbs you run. Some bulbs can put out almost twice the par of some others.

Well I got a 6 bulb sunpower for an incredible price so I went with that. All of the coral is getting sold this week anyway so it should be perfect.
