View Full Version : When should I change my DI and filters

I have a AWI unit and want ot know if I need new filters? It's been in storage for 2 years.

I'd replace the micron filter (the first one) and then make some water. If your TDS is 5 ppm or less, then the filters and resin are probably okay. If the DI resin is good, the TDS should be 0 or 1 ppm at most.

Pretty sure You need to Keep the Di Wet during prolonged storage, So might not be any good. Sure someone with more experience will chime in.

After I stopped using my unit, I never flushed the remaining water out so I should be fine but we'll see once I hook it up and put it back not use.

make some water and see where your at. probably wouldn't hurt to change your filters anyway.

airwaterice never answers there phone left 2 messages still no response... my di resin is showing 1ppm tds i was wanted to know is the filmtec di and good or should i replace with the same one my unit came with? i have the compact lll with a dual inline tds and Glycerin Filled Pressure Gauge 1-100 PSI...
